New Avensis
The New Avensis makes its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. Building on the spaciousness, practicality and fuel efficiency of the current model, Avensis has been extensively restyled with enhancements to both quality and equipment.
New Avensis is more athletic, more elegant, with an assertive and dynamic stance. Inside, a cabin already praised for its comfort, roominess and practicality is now quieter and more refined. Improvements include a redesigned dashboard, higher quality materials throughout for greater tactility, and upgraded upholstery.
A range of affordable, advanced touchscreen equipment includes Toyota Touch & Go Plus. This sophisticated satellite navigation system makes its world debut in New Avensis. It adds features such as voice recognition, music search and play, email, text-to-speech and a calendar.
As with its predecessor, New Avensis features a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines. All boast optimised performance and economy, thanks to Toyota Optimal Drive. Amongst these, the 2.0 litre D-4D turbodiesel now delivers more linear torque, improved fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions lowered to just 119g/km, making this a tax-efficient choice in many European countries.
The exemplary safety levels of Avensis, with its 5-star rating in the 2009 Euro NCAP programme, continue. Active safety systems available include a Pre-Crash Safety System that anticipates collisions, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist.
