Prius
The new Toyota Prius makes its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, with improvements to exterior and interior design and new equipment options.
This is the 4th generation of Prius, the first mass-produced full hybrid. Since launch, Prius has built a peerless reputation for reliability, durability and low cost of ownership, with over one million 3rd generation vehicles sold in just two years. This 4th generation is now the most established model in a new Prius family that also includes Prius Plug-in Hybrid and Prius+.
The dynamic new appearance includes redesigned LED lights and power-folding door mirrors. Inside, a black colour scheme with silver inserts is matched by upgraded upholstery. The centre console is redesigned, and the multi-information display improved with a 16-gradation step display for a clearer, more three-dimensional appearance.
For 2012, Prius offers advanced, affordable multimedia. Toyota Touch & Go Plus is a 6.1” touchscreen satellite navigation system with Google Local Search, email, SMS and calendars (depending on mobile phone compatibility). Toyota Touch Pro, meanwhile, is Toyota’s most sophisticated system yet, with a 7” touchscreen, Europe-wide coverage, rear camera with dynamic guidance, and DAB/DAB+/DMB digital radio, giving access to new traffic information services.
Finally, Prius offers JBL’s Premium Sound System with GreenEdge, offering superlative audio quality while reducing the power requirements by up to 80%.
