Prius+

Prius+, the first full hybrid 7-seater MPV in Europe, makes its production car European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011.

Prius+ is designed from the ground up. It accommodates adults in all three rows, with each row being 45mm higher than the one in front, giving everyone a good forward view.

Externally, the sleek, bold styling includes sharp edged headlamps, aero-corners that minimise turbulence and a top-hinged tailgate. The resin panoramic roof is 40% lighter, and more heat resistant than glass, too.

A highly compact, space-saving lithium-ion battery pack is located between the front seats, and avoids any compromises: three independent split/folding 2nd row seats and a 50:50 split/folding third row deliver maximum space and flexibility.

Prius+ incorporates the latest generation of Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive® (HSD). As in the Prius, there are three drive modes: EV mode for electric-only driving (up to 2km), ECO mode for economy, and a POWER mode. Prius+ delivers class-leading fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

A Head-up Display and Smart Entry system are standard, with safety options including Adaptive Cruise Control and Pre-Crash Safety System. Touchscreen multimedia and satellite navigation choices – common to every Prius family member – include Toyota Touch & Go Plus and the highly advanced Toyota Touch Pro, bringing features such as email, SMS, rear camera integration and digital radio to Prius+.

Prius+ goes on sale throughout Europe in the first half of 2012.
