Engines 2.2 litre D-CAT 150 The 2.2 litre D-CAT 150 engine combines excellent power (110 kW (150 DIN hp)/ 3600 rpm) and torque (340 Nm). It also offers the lowest emissions in its class thanks to Toyota’s unique control technology incorporating Diesel Clean Advanced Technology D-CAT. It reduces both Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and particulate emissions. The engine is fitted with intelligent 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift for an efficient and comfortable drive.
2.2 litre D-CAT 180 The top performing 2.2 litre D-CAT 180 boasts 130 kW (177 DIN hp)/3600 rpm and 400 Nm torque at just 2000-2800 rpm. Thanks to Toyota Optimal Drive and Diesel Clean Advanced Technology D-CAT, emissions are as low as 177 g/km. 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the 2.2 litre D-CAT 180 4WD.
2.2 litre D-4D CCO & DPF The refined diesel engines with advanced common rail diesel technology deliver more torque and less CO2 emissions, starting from just 150 g/km. A low compression ratio, thermodynamic efficiency and low speed torque also boost performance with reduced fuel consumption. 2.2 D-4D is available as 2WD and 4WD and with Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Catalytic Converter (CCO).
2.0 litre Valvematic Our latest 2.0 litre petrol engines with Valvematic technology simultaneously optimise valve timing and valve lift. This helps improve fuel efficiency, increases power and reduces CO2 emissions to 174 g/km on the 2.0 Valvematic.*

SRS airbags In the event of a collision, the RAV4 ensures you and your passengers are protected with seven separate airbags. These include dual stage SRS driver and passenger airbags, SRS side airbags, SRS curtain shield airbags and a driver’s knee airbag.
Active headrest RAV4 is equipped with Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) front seats, along with active headrests. Together, these reduce impact on the neck and protect you in the event of a collision form the rear.
LED Rear Brake Lights LED brake lights respond more quickly when the brake pedal is used than conventional lights. At a speed of around 100 km/h, this gives an extra six metres braking distance to the car behind. That difference can be crucial.
