A world premiere, the Auris HSD Full Hybrid Concept is exclusively designed for the European market. It introduces full hybrid technology to a mainstream model at the heart of the Toyota line-up, the first step in deploying Hybrid Synergy Drive® (HSD) across the company’s entire model range.

While benefiting from the advantages of exceptional fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions inherent in Hybrid Synergy Drive®, the Auris HSD Full Hybrid customer will experience a refined and sophisticated driving experience due to the everyday usability, driving comfort and remarkable quietness of Toyota’s Full Hybrid powertrain.

The Auris HSD Full Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in approximately 10 seconds, yet returns class leading combined cycle fuel economy, and CO2 emissions below 100 g/km.  Four driving modes, including ECO, POWER and EV on-demand modes further increase the capabilities of the Hybrid Synergy Drive® powertrain. They help customers develop relaxed, fuel efficient driving techniques and maximise system efficiency.

With solar panels applied to the entire roof surface, the Auris HSD Full Hybrid Concept further develops the field of solar powered ventilation. And inside, dash-top mounted solar panels generate sufficient power to recharge mobile phones or music players mounted in purpose-made charging trays.
