Yaris HSD concept

Making its world debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show, the Yaris HSD concept embodies what will be an important step in Toyota’s full hybrid roll-out strategy in Europe.
Hybrid Synergy Drive® brings the uniquely smooth, sophisticated driving experience of Toyota’s full hybrid powertrain to the B-segment. It delivers class-leading fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and low cost of ownership.

Forward-looking design direction for the next Yaris model range combines dynamism and efficient packaging.

The production model, following on from the Yaris HSD concept, will go on sale in Europe in second half of 2012.

The Hybrid X concept

Hybrid X carries the signature of Toyota’s European Design Development centre ED², based in the South of France. It was revealed as a world premiere at the 2007 Geneva motorshow.
Inspired by Toyota’s “Vibrant Clarity” design philosophy, the futuristic body shape is an unconventional fusion of strength, lightness and emotion. The two “U” shapes created by the A and C pillars give the impression of a huge “X”, hence the name.
Inside the car, the driver can control lighting, music and even smell via a perfume diffuser. Rear seat passengers can swivel their chairs to enjoy the scenery or a more intimate “tête-à-tête”.

Hybrid X is powered by Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive® providing lower emissions and improved fuel efficiency.

Toyota Touch&Go®

Discover how the new Toyota Touch&Go® system works on our giant touch screen.

This brand new Toyota technological advance, available as a standard fitting or as an option depending on the model, will make life a good deal easier for you : a central intuitive touch screen on the dashboard allows you to control everything with just a touch of your finger : radio, navigation system, music, telephone and even the reversing camera.

Le Rendez-Vous Toyota has increased the size of everything for you : come and experiment on its new interface either by yourself or with others – the whole family can take part!

Toyota « Window to the World »

There is also a “Window to the World” area which allows you to try out this advanced interactive application, a project done in collaboration between engineers and designers from Toyota Motor Europe, Kansei Design and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID).

This system allows for a totally new approach to the car which is no longer just a means of transport but has also become a tool for learning about and communicating with the surroundings.

The fact is that the car windows, which have become interactive screens, allow passengers to find out about distances, time and the countryside during a long trip in a quite different way : it is possible to translate the world outside the car into the local language or even to do a drawing on the car window which then comes to life against the background of the passing countryside.

A both educational and fun tool which may become a reality in the near future…
