Road Sign Assist
Road Sign Assist Toyota Safety Sense's Road Sign Assist monitors the road signs ahead, displaying useful information such as the current speed limit or overtaking restrictions in clear view on the new colour TFT cockpit display. The system also provides a visual and acoustic warning if you are not following the road sign indication. |
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control When high-speed ACC or Full Range ACC is active and car is equipped with Road Sign Assist (RSA), the system recognises new speed limits along the driving route and suggests changes to cruising speed. The driver can easily reset the vehicle speed in accordance with the new speed limit, by using the ACC controls. |
Adjustable Speed Limiter (ASL)
Adjustable Speed Limiter (ASL) This function is a control system that suppresses acceleration above a vehicle speed (speed limit) pre-set by the driver. Acting as a guide, it controls engine output so that the vehicle speed does not exceed that of the pre-set speed limit while the driver is pushing on the accelerator pedal. The pre-set speed is shown on the combimeter display and will begin flashing when the vehicle reaches this speed. |
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) ABS prevents the wheels from locking while braking. EBD complements this by optimising brake force distribution between each wheel to compensate for different loads. Together the two systems help you to maintain steering control when braking heavily. |

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) The Blind Spot Monitor system allows the driver to manoeuvre more safely during lane changes. If the rear-mounted radar sensors detect a vehicle in your side or rear blind spot, a warning indicator will illuminate on the appropriate side mirror. Should you indicate to change lanes and a vehicle is in your blind spot, the warning indicators will flsh to alert you that a lane change should be avoided. |
Turning signal integrated in door mirrors |
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) HAC helps to ensure a smooth start on steep inclines by applying the brakes for up to 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. This prevents the vehicle from rolling back. It is activated by pushing the brake pedal harder after stopping as long as the transmission shift lever is in any forward gear position. |
Lane Trace Assist
Lane Trace Assist Using a camera sensor and millimeter wave radar, the Lane Trace Assist system uses either the lane markings on the road ahead or the driving path of the vehicle in front to estimate its position on the road. If the car begins to drift from the centre of the lane unintentionally, steering assist is applied to correct its course. Please note that the system can only be used when Lane Departure Alert as well as Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control are turned on. |
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) RCTA allows you to reverse out of a parking space safely by detecting other vehicles approaching your blind spot area. Using quasi-millimetre wave radar, RCTA alerts you with a buzzer and flashing indicators on the outer mirrors. |
Tyre Pressure Warning System (TPWS)
Tyre Pressure Warning System (TPWS) The system features a sensor valve within each wheel to constantly monitor tyre air pressure. These sensors link with a dashboard indicator that illuminates to warn you if the pressure falls below the recommended level. By doing so, the system contributes to safer driving, better tyre wear and greater fuel efficiency. |
