Road Sign Assist

Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control

Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control

Toyota Safety Sense’s Full-Range Adaptive Cruise Control enables the car to maintain a constant speed without the use of the accelerator pedal, keeping a minimum, pre-set distance from the vehicle in front. If this distance falls, the system reduces speed to preserve the distance between the car and the vehicle ahead, applying the brakes and slowing to a stop if necessary. If the distance increases, the car will begin moving accelerating and/or slowing as required, until the traffic flow allows for a return to the pre-selected cruising speed. Please note that this function is only available on vehicles with an automatic transmission.

Lane Trace Assist

Lane Trace Assist

Using a camera sensor and millimeter wave radar, the Lane Trace Assist system uses either the lane markings on the road ahead or the driving path of the vehicle in front to estimate its position on the road. If the car begins to drift from the centre of the lane unintentionally, steering assist is applied to correct its course. Please note that the system can only be used when Lane Departure Alert as well as Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control are turned on.

Downhill Assist Control (DAC)

Downhill Assist Control (DAC)

When descending off-road, DAC applies individual brakes to keep the vehicle stable and maintain its speed between 5 and 7 km/h. DAC works in forward or reverse, and when activated it requires no pedal input from the driver.
