Imagine a better world

For a long time, Toyota has been pioneering the journey towards zero emissions. But it’s only the start.
We want to go beyond. From cities powered only by clean hydrogen to mobility solutions that benefit everyone, we’re striving to create a more inclusive and sustainable world and society. A better world.

Beyond emissions

It’s 25 years since we pioneered electrified technology with the launch of the Toyota Prius. We have continued to strive in this arena and won’t be happy until each and every customer has a solution that’s right for them and our planet. This means we now have a huge variety of electrified powertrains – Hybrids, Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV), a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and a Hydrogen vehicle. Our goal now is not only to reach zero emissions, but to create vehicles that have a positive impact.

Beyond restrictions

When you're free to move, anything is possible. That’s why we work to create a world where everyone can move freely. It’s why we’re partnered with both the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2018-2024. And why we will be showcasing a huge range of new mobility solutions at Paris 2024. These include a human support robot which assists people who can't move easily on their own. There’s also the i-Ride, a fully electric vehicle designed for wheelchair users. And the KINTO, offering a seamless experience of different modes of transport, from car-sharing to flexible car subscriptions.

Beyond expectations

We aim to make every trip truly enjoyable, for everyone. This means thinking about each person’s unique mobility needs. And it means caring about not only our drivers, but passengers too, and anyone affected by our vehicles. Concepts like the LQ use artificial intelligence to understand the driver and to read the road ahead to maintain everyone’s safety. Or T-Mate, intelligent systems that alert and guide you throughout your journey. We also created THUMS, virtual crash software, which we shared with all car makers so all can benefit. Because we aim for zero accidents too.

Beyond barriers

We want our products and initiatives to make a positive contribution to society. Toyota’s Environmental Challenge 2050 is our commitment to achieve true sustainability across everything we do. We’re adopting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as helping to increase the number of girls learning and working in tech industries. And we’re working toward ‘the hydrogen society’, where all transport and even entire cities are powered by clean hydrogen fuel.
