Sixty years ago we launched a practically unknown car brand in Europe. We’ve come a long way since those early days, and our journey is getting more exciting every year.
Our journey in Europe
Six decades of customer focus
Customers’ tastes and requirements are always evolving. Throughout our six decades in Europe we’ve increased our research and design resources to make sure we keep producing the kind of cars Europeans want to drive.
We now operate eight manufacturing plants in Europe, building seven out of ten vehicles we sell here. And we’re always striving to do things better: making ever better cars, improving reliability and providing excellent customer service.

Did you know that the original Toyoda business started life as a textile weaving company in the late 19th century? Our founder’s invention of the automatic loom started the company’s journey to what it is today: a global industrial business driven by innovation and committed to continuous improvement.
Our European journey began in the 1960s and has progressed steadily thanks to ongoing efforts in technology, innovation and people. We aim to support economic and social well-being in the countries where we operate, guided by our mission to create Happiness for All.
