Toyota has been a proud supporter of sports since 1937, when we launched our first track club. Good for both athletes and Toyota employees, sports are a living symbol of teamwork and growth.Today Toyota continues to support active Olympians and Paralympians. In addition, we are assisting in the development of new technology and equipment to support their efforts.

The Global Team Toyota Athletes Programme (GTTA)

The GTTA includes Toyota employees and athletes who share our belief in one family spirit. Together, we inspire greatness, promote inclusion, and break barriers. For example, Toyota helps equip athletes with disabilities with the prosthetics and gear they need to create equal opportunities and strengthen motivation.

We support and encourage athletes during competitions, and go beyond the arena to unite athletes, our business, and our community in shared triumphs and growth.

Mobility products

Toyota is committed to empowering athletes by improving mobility, with a core focus on sustainability, accessibility, and inclusion.

That’s why we use our expertise in advanced mobility solutions to solve mobility challenges and help athletes improve their performance. Because we believe that no journey is taken alone.

Paris 2024

For the Paris 2024 Olympics, Toyota supplied 2,764 electrified passenger vehicles, plus 700 electric last-mile mobility solutions, including 250 redesigned Accessible People Movers.

Our support provided safe, efficient transport for athletes, staff, and spectators. Maximising their mobility. Minimising environmental impact.

The Special Olympics

Toyota has supported the Special Olympics as a partner since 2018. What began in the 1960s as an act of love between sisters Eunice and Rosemary Shriver has grown into a global movement celebrating inclusive sports.

It now serves millions of athletes in over 190 countries, with competitions, Unified Sports, health checks, and training. Toyota is proud to provide funding and logistics, and help raise awareness for this inspiring organisation.
