Intelligent rear parking sensors with automatic braking

Rear-view camera
The system features a sensor valve within each wheel to constantly monitor tyre air pressure. These sensors link with a dashboard indicator that illuminates to warn you if the pressure falls below the recommended level. By doing so, the system contributes to safer driving, better tyre wear and greater fuel efficiency.

Road Sign Assist
Toyota Safety Sense's Road Sign Assist monitors the road signs ahead, displaying useful information such as the current speed limit or overtaking restrictions in clear view on the new colour TFT cockpit display. The system also provides a visual and acoustic warning if you are not following the road sign indication.

Automatic High Beam
Toyota Safety Sense's Automatic High Beam is designed to optimise visibility during night driving for all road users. A camera detects the lights of oncoming vehicles and leading traffic whilst also monitoring the brightness of streetlights. It switches automatically between high and low beam for safer night-time driving.

Adjustable Speed Limiter (ASL)
This function is a control system that suppresses acceleration above a vehicle speed (speed limit) pre-set by the driver. Acting as a guide, it controls engine output so that the vehicle speed does not exceed that of the pre-set speed limit while the driver is pushing on the accelerator pedal. The pre-set speed is shown on the combimeter display and will begin flashing when the vehicle reaches this speed.

If the rear-mounted radar sensors detect a vehicle in your side or rear blind spot, a warning indicator will illuminate on the appropriate side mirror. Should you indicate to change lanes and a vehicle is in your blind spot, the warning indicators will flsh to alert you that a lane change should be avoided.

The driver will be alerted prior to instances such as deviating from the road.

Lane Trace Assist
Using a camera sensor and millimeter wave radar, the Lane Trace Assist system uses either the lane markings on the road ahead or the driving path of the vehicle in front to estimate its position on the road. If the car begins to drift from the centre of the lane unintentionally, steering assist is applied to correct its course. Please note that the system can only be used when Lane Departure Alert as well as Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control are turned on.
