Battery Electric Vehicles

All-electric vehicles as a key contributor to emissions reduction
Toyota continues to expand our Battery Electric Vehicle line-up, so we can offer as many customers as possible a Battery Electric Vehicle that meets their specific mobility needs.

More Battery Electric Vehicles, more charging options

Our vision is to make Battery Electric Vehicles more accessible and affordable  for as many people as possible. In Europe, we’re expanding our Toyota and Lexus Battery Electric Vehicle line-up to twelve models in 2026, with additional launches to follow soon. To help customers maximise the carbon reduction potential of these vehicles, we’re also working with partners to deploy a comprehensive charging ecosystem, enabling convenient access to low-carbon electricity from renewable sources.

Designed to meet all customer needs

We’re building a comprehensive range of Battery Electric Vehicles to meet customer needs across all market segments. In the premium space, Lexus Electrified leads the way, while Toyota delivers battery-electric models for the wider market.

Some BEVs are built on dedicated e-TNGA platforms, giving us the flexibility to create a wide variety of vehicles tailored to specific needs.

Others use our multi-pathway architecture, allowing BEVs, hybrids and plug-in hybrids to be produced on the same platform. This helps us adapt efficiently as customer demand and market conditions evolve.

Lexus all-electrified *

The Lexus Driving Signature, centered on Comfort, Control, Confidence, remains the foundation of every Lexus, even as the Lexus BEV line-up expands. These core principles will continue to guide the development of our next-generation electric vehicles, building on Lexus’ long-standing leadership in battery management systems, power control units and electric motors.

Looking ahead, the next-generation of Lexus Battery Electric Vehicles will carry forward the high-level driving qualitiesshowcased by the Lexus LFA Concept. Presented in December 2025, the LFA Concept demonstrates how battery-electric sports cars can deliver refined driving performance and pleasure for the electric era.

*An electrified car is one propelled by an electric motor to some extent. Some electrified cars, including Hybrids and Plug-in Hybrids, also have a petrol engine. Others are entirely electric.

A customer-centric Battery Electric Vehicle ecosystem

We want people to enjoy owning a Battery Electric Vehicle with confidence and peace of mind. That’s why we’re developing a user-friendly e-mobility ecosystem designed to deliver a simple, seamless customer experience. This one-stop shop approach brings together everything needed for everyday electric driving, from connected and charging services to optional support such as maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance. Depending on customer needs, it can also include home or workplace charging solutions, making the transition to electric mobility as convenient as possible.
