Our goal is to promote global deployment of end-of-life vehicle treatment and recycling technologies and systems.
To help build an ideal resource/recycling-based society, we are working in four key areas: making greater use of eco-friendly materials; designing and using longer-lasting parts; developing more effective and thorough recycling technologies; and using more of the materials recovered when a vehicle is disposed of to make new ones.
Our goal is to promote global deployment of end-of-life vehicle treatment and recycling technologies and systems.
Use less and waste less! This is our mission to help us create the ultimate eco-car that has no impact on the environment. In order to waste less, we are following two main policies: Zero Waste to Landfill and Zero Waste to Incineration.
All our manufacturing plants in Europe have made huge efforts to reduce the waste they are sending to landfill and to incineration. For example, Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (TMMF) has always been a plant with zero waste to landfill, but since 2007 it is successfully reclaiming 100% of its waste.
Since 2001, waste is carefully being either reused, recycled or recovered. Industrial oils and paint thinners are collected for reuse or regeneration; steel and aluminium make new raw materials; wood, cardboard and plastic wrappings are being recycled; the small amount of waste that is left is used as an alternative fuel source.
We are proud to announce that since 2018 all our manufacturing plants in Europe are Zero Waste to Landfill and Zero Waste to Incineration.
