Strengthening partnership with suppliers
06/05/2025
The Annual Business Meeting (ABM) is a key event where Toyota Motor Europe invites all its suppliers across Europe.

  • Aligning Suppliers with Toyota's Vision and Goals

The purpose of the ABM is to share strategic directions and expectations, strengthen the Toyota-Supplier partnership, and address suppliers’ key concerns. Additionally, the best-performing suppliers are awarded each year. This event is crucial for fostering collaboration and ensuring that all suppliers are aligned with Toyota's vision and goals.

  • Purchasing goals amidst industry challenges

This year's ABM focused on Toyota’s business goals amidst various challenges, such as an uncertain business environment and EU regulations. Emphasis was placed on Toyota’s commitment to making its supply chain sustainable, boosting the competitiveness of its operations through continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and preparing for the future through the multi-pathway approach. Communicating Toyota’s multi-pathway strategy was a central theme, ensuring that suppliers understand, and support Toyota’s initiatives based on this strategy.

  • Executives’ insights and supplier awards

Highlights of this year's ABM included executive speakers and a live Q&A session. Yoshihiro Nakata, President and CEO, discussed business updates and strategy. Shinichi Yasui, Executive Vice President R&D, Hydrogen Factory Europe & Purchasing, covered mobility for all. Guillaume Jacques, Vice President Purchasing, outlined Toyota’s expectations towards suppliers, and Didier Gambart, CEO KINTO Europe, spoke about KINTO. The event concluded with the traditional award ceremony, recognizing top performers in various categories. Awards were given at three levels: Certificate of Recognition, Achievement Awards, and Superior Awards, celebrating excellence and inspiring continued dedication among suppliers.
