Imagine going on a road trip, and not emitting any CO2… To show how it’s done, Toyota invited some European travel bloggers to explore the Girona region in Northern Spain behind the wheel of the new Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid – with 50km of pure electric driving range.
From 17 until 19 February 2017, European bloggers with an interest in sustainability travel and green tech gathered in Girona (Spain), to mark the launch of the new Toyota Plug-in Hybrid. Toyota challenged these bloggers to set out on a road trip with a difference. As the new Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid offers up to 50km driving range in electric mode, we asked them to capture the region of Girona with just 50km to cover from their central location. And along the way, not emitting a single gram of CO2.
The response of the bloggers was one of surprise and delight. The stunning scenery of the Girona area offers a widely diverse backdrop to capture the car, as many of them experience both hybrid and electric driving for the first time.
