Let's go beyond zero

Toyota. Breaking through barriers and going beyond

Zero isn't our destination. It's another step in our electrification journey that began in 1997 with Hybrid and continues with Plug-in Hybrids and Battery-Electric vehicles. We made Hydrogen-powered cars. We’ve brought Hydrogen power to buses, trucks and even boats that leave nothing behind but water. From low emissions to zero restrictions, from greater mobility to a better society for all. Why stop at zero, when you can go beyond?

Beyond low emissions

Over 20 years ago, the goal of zero emissions inspired us to introduce the world's first Hybrid production car. That drive continues today, with Plug-in Hybrids, zero-emission Battery-Electric vehicles and Hydrogen-powered cars. As leaders in electrification, we won't stop there. With plans to launch 40 new or updated electric vehicles by 2025, we will offer the widest range of electrified powertrains. That way, everyone can enjoy the right technology, at the right time, for their needs.

Hybrid. The undisputed leaders Our range of fourth-generation Hybrid models let you travel emission-free for up to 70% of your driving time in the city, without needing to be plugged in and recharged.
Plug-in Hybrid. Go further on zero emissions Our Plug-in Hybrids offer zero-emission, full-electric drive for up to 75 km on a single charge. With all the benefits of our Hybrid-electric models, they deliver peace of mind on the longer journeys you make too.
Beyond restrictions

As we transform from an automotive company to a mobility company, we're not only answering society's ever-changing mobility needs, we're going further. We're committed to caring for everyone's movement, from the elderly to Paralympians, regardless of their physical ability. Because when we leave no one behind, we all go further.

Freedom to enjoy the ride The Concept-i RIDE is a wheelchair-accessible electric car controlled using only a joystick. Its unique seat layout and automated driving functions offer freedom and peace of mind for everyone.
Freedom for the last mile Whether standing, seated or in a wheelchair, our fun and eco-friendly Walking Area BEV (battery electric vehicle) helps everyone move quickly around the city for the last mile of their commute.
Freedom so everyone can compete We believe anything is possible when you're free to move. As the Worldwide Mobility Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we're finally realising our vision to bring mobility to all.
Freedom for all The APM (Accessible People Mover) has been developed specifically to help attendees with special mobility needs travel within Tokyo 2020 event venues such as the Olympic Stadium.
Beyond expectations

What else lies beyond zero? How about truly memorable experiences for everyone, whether it's in-car, in person or online? Or advanced safety technology that takes us a step closer to our goal of reducing the number of road accidents to zero. By combining our vehicle's reputation for quality and reliability with services that are more in tune with your needs, when we go beyond zero every experience becomes safer and more fun.

Beyond barriers

As part of our Environmental Challenge 2050, we want our zero-emission journey to go even further. Beyond restrictions to a zero-emission society. Hydrogen is a clean, sustainable energy that will help us reduce the impact of our products and operations on the environment and contribute to a better society. Whether it's going from A to B, heating homes or powering entire cities, we want our innovations to move us all towards a better world. A world where we leave nothing behind.

Beyond cities A prototype city built on a 175-acre site at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, Woven City will be a fully connected ecosystem where people live, work and play, powered entirely by Toyota hydrogen fuel cells.
Beyond business Hotel room, retail experience, ride-share vehicle. e-Palette is our vision for mobile business. A zero-emission, customisable pod that offers services to suit every customer’s needs, straight to the door.
